I do love your soft love ballads. All of your covers are perfect. And I really miss seeing some of my favs on your post Idol CD being released as singles and videos. I would have loved to have seen you release Lie, Permanent, Avalanche, Life on the Moon. David, you are perfect in my eyes. You are already up there with Elton John. Feed me with more of your music, David!

Okay, I'll admit it. The first time I watched it I liked it, but thought it was too much like the original. But then I watched it again. As usual, you're right and I'm wrong. David, I said you didn't do enough to change it up, but then I realized you were perfect. I loved the entire performance (and Neal was crazy on the guitar--LOVED IT!) and I loved what you did with the song. Although I liked what you did, the more I watch it the more I love it. David, your performance was a solid rock performance, and you are truly the best artist to cover the Stones I've ever heard.

The Olympics got David Cook. Wonder why the award shows didn't. I've been a fan of David's since I first saw him on AI. Skaters performing to Billie Jean blew me away. David's strong manly voice along with perfect Olympian bodies dancing in skates to his love song--unspeakably beautiful. Magnificent. I'm so proud of David! I feel like I discovered him myself. I would love to see the award shows recognize David, seeing his music is picked over everyone else's for the Olympics. I've counted 3 songs so far: TOML, Heroes, and Billie Jean.
