There are so many things that attract me to the man, but without the Voice, I wouldn't be here. David can do anything with his voice, from hard rock screaming to bell tone warmth and it all still sounds like David, there is never any question of who is singing. It is very distintive, and rich. Once we've established what incredible range and control he has of his voice, let's talk about his ability to sell a song emotionally. He really inhabits a song, gets to the heart of it, and then takes us along for the ride. There are a lot of people out there that have good voices, but this ability to interpret a song so well is rare indeed. The World I Know and Hello are prime examples of this from American Idol. His talent to rearrange a song to get at the heart of the lyrics is undeniable. You only have to hear Always Be My Baby, Little Sparrow, and AIRNIY to see how older worn out songs have been made brand new with his insight.

Then you have to look at his songwriting. Anything from Analog Heart is fabulous, and a lot of the Axium songs he co-wrote are so enjoyable.

Add to all this what a kind, humble, thoughtful person he is, plus being absolutely gorgeous, and the question is more like, how could I NOT be his fan?
