In many ways, our problem with the unreleased album is something to be grateful for - If David had not done as well as he did on Idol, he'd have no problem releasing it, and I'd wager he would have released it within two months of being voted off the show. Of course, many of us would not know to look for it because we'd never have become aware to how great this unknown musician was. Archuleta would have won uncontested, David would have gone back to Tulsa and released his album to local fans, and we'd all go on completely unaware of what we were missing.
