  • Longer Set Would Be Awesome

    A longer David Cook set would be awesome if there is no opening act. But just so you know...at the Niagara Falls concert, there was no opening act and he only did 12-13 songs. It was 1 hour and 10 minutes long, if I remember correctly. (Went by in the blink of an eye.) So there's no guarantee that we'll get a longer set too, although I am excited that we are the first concert they will be performing after 4 days off! They should be rested (I hope, for their sakes) and maybe willing to play extra.

  • NO OPENING ACT YET

    I just spoke with the Allegan County Fair Office and they told me that they still do not know who will be David's opening act. I asked if there was a chance that there wouldn't be one, and they said they did not know anything at all. They sounded none too happy about the situation, but were polite.

    I asked about the Kelly Clarkson concert for this Saturday too and they told me her opening band will be My Favorite Highway.

    I just now got a response from an e-mail I sent to the Allegan Fair promotional director earlier this week:

    "As of now, they (promoter) is still working on an opener. We have nothing to do with VIP, back stage passes, or meet and greet."

    As you can tell, I also asked about meet & greet tickets too. It sure seems odd that there is no opening act in place yet, just 12 days before the concert. Do you think it could end up being a local band?

    After upgrading our seats, I have 8 tickets available for sale, at cost ($30 each):

    4 tickets: TK East, Row W, Seats 17-20

    4 tickets: TK Center, Row R, Seats 39-42
