yes re the desire for a little more diversity of music density in the setlist.
Ryan a good man, but.... he could use a little more diversity also, imo. there are other angles to work.
glad to see your comments here. thx for posting them. always of interest.

I have never been to a big stadium rock show like I saw U2 do at Soldier Field last night. It was truly incredible and the gargantuan, crab-like “space ship” structure built over the circular stage – supporting lights, 12 guys with follow spots, speakers, fog machines, and an expandable/contractable cylindrical video screen -- is hard to describe, but here is a video report:

just in case the rockstar and radio host gigs don't work out.
either start the talk show, or let Andy direct you both in a horror film. in black and white. hand-held camera. with a score by the late bernard herrmann.
i do suggest a dieffenbachia for some foliar variety, should the ficus get boring. except, that thing in the vid looks like a spathiphyllum to me, dude, not a ficus. and a spath will never be as good as a ficus. or be able to cross the road, either. or impress simon cowell.
a spath sways beside us?
just sayin.

..... in the inevitable process of World Cookification.
lol.
Good for YOU, buddy. Consider your digital back, digitally thumped, or maybe your shoulders digitally hugged. Wish I could do that in person, for the price of another copy of DCTR and some line-camping-out. But dang, it's a long way from Chi town to Cali. A LONG way. Like, to the moon.
Ah, well. Keep movin' on. Have fun. It's all good. Better than good. Some kinda wonderful....
prayers, pax, vaya con dios

Until I let go / gave in to love /watched all the bitterness burn....
Who can argue with that? There is no arguing with that. Esp not when the singer brings his own stuff to the material in such a powerful way.
God bless Regie and Dave and all for whom that song has become some sort of anthem. This is no accident.
And D, maybe someday, don't know when... you might surprise yourself by being ready to sing that again. (I am not holding my breath. But I learned a long time ago never to say "never.")
