I dragged my two girls to 2 David Cook concerts last month: SC & Perry. OMG SC was cold and rainy. I felt bad for the bad weather because my girls had to wander around for an hour while I got to rock out to David. Thank goodness for the building with the flowers in it. It was like a hot house in there and I told my girls to go hang there if it got too bad. I was surprised how small Columbia was for a state fair. One thing about their food: they must love corn dogs. LOL Every step we took there was a corn dog stand.

I'm totally stoked for 2009 and David Cook to get together and hang out. Right now his album is poised to hit 800,000 for the end of Christmas week. The number crunchers say that Jan. is a bad month for sales for everyone, so I will be biting my nails waiting for DCTR to hit platinum. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to videos from the USO tour(if possible) and videos from his college tour. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that I can go to a concert down here in the South. I mean listening to a whole set headlined by Dave and the band!

On a personal level, 2008 has been a tough year for my family, but watching the drama that is American Idol 7 and the story of David Cook unfold has been a real blessing for me. I was able to get lost in your wonderful music week after week. When I found your previous recordings I was in heaven. My iPod was soon stuffed with Axium, Analog Heart, and AI songs. As the season wrapped up, and I was experiencing DC withdrawals, I met a fantastic group of women that I now call friends. So David Cook, Thank You this wonderful ride that you have shared with your fans.

Stats
TOML is certified platinum. LO has sold over 500,000 copies but hasn't been certified gold or platinum. DCTR has just been certified platinum although it hasn't officially sold a million copies yet. (a million copies of the record must have been shipped already to have been certified platinum)
