I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... David Cook is much more than a gorgeous face that can belt out any tune and make it sound like a #1 hit. Yes, he has a wonderful voice that is incredibly versatile and rocks my world. But he also writes beautiful songs (my favorite being AC) Who else could write a song so poignant that makes me cry everytime I hear it. "Please know I love you and I miss you everday. I've coming to grips with what you deal with everyday. You're always on my mind." Not only does David has a talent for singing, songwriting, dancing (yes I saw the Mavid dances, and they are awesome. They don't call him Sugarfoot for nothing) but he is intelligent. He's a word nerd. Who else uses precipice, ostentatious, optimistically pessimistic in normal conversation???? David does. It's unfortunate when you see so many ignorant hollywood stars and it is a breath of fresh air to see "nerd" become a rockstar and continue to use exceptional vocabulary. David also has a great sense of humor. His Pirate joke is a classic among his fans. Whenever I see a pirate, all I can think of is "AAARGGGH!" David has filtered into everything in my life, and is the most amazing human being. He is chartitable and humble (just look at his encounter with Lindsey Rose...I almost drowned in tears that day. No one has ever moved me so much as this man, and I've yet to meet him. Thank you David, for being an inspiration to me and many others. And that, my friends, is why I am a fan!
