Wishing you and your families a Happy New Year and best wishes in 2009, everyone. Here's also hoping that 2009 brings a multitude of opportunities and fruitful experiences as well. I saw David and the gents performance on New Years Eve tonight and thought they sounded awesome. I loved the New Year's hat bit in the middle, 'tis good to see that all the guys were having fun and David looked like he was pretty stoked about being there. Here's also wishing that David, the guys and their families have a wonderful New Year =)

I had this idea in response to an article I saw featuring David Cook, David Archuleta, Bruce Springsteen and a number of other musicians that were featured with their respective Ipod lists, so I decided why not share my own and give a brief taste of what I listen to. Granted, a lot of the stuff I have on my Ipod is in bulk, and you'll probably see a lot of DC entries there, but at the very least, I can tell you that I listen to quite an eclectic mix musically. Different styles, languages, you kind of get the idea.

So I heard our lovely little rainbow song went platinum today, the day after DC's album was released. How awesome is that?

My first entry on DCO in a couple of months and I have a confession to make.

I'll admit it, I'm guilty of it, and I'm totally not cool for doing so. My resolve was to wait to hear David's self-titled album on Tuesday when my pre-order came in and I could have the time (between my busy schedule) to hear it in its entirety in one sitting. One giddy, anticipatory sitting. Unfortunately, the major surprise that tempted me on Thursday completely took me blindsided yet again after I heard about the album Pre-listening Party holding down here at DCO, by way of iheartmusic.

I thought about posting this on my own personal blog, but I figured it'd be more appropriate to make a DCO post about listening to David's latest single, which premiered this past Monday. Yeah, like others, it surprised and excited me when I figured out that the single would be released on Wednesday when the initial news broke. So Monday afternoon/evening, I'm busy with my schoolwork, saying I can hold myself over til' Wednesday...and then the news breaks through like water breaking through a concrete wall.

Haha, that title line pretty much sums up my initial thoughts as a part of davidcookofficial.com, and this marks my first blog entry on board the site. I'm definitely excited to be here and find it a pleasure to meet quite many of you. Hopefully as I come into the site more, I can be able to get to know you and we can all talk about our gushing adoration for David Cook. =) Hehe.
