I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

I am a fan of the person, the voice, the passion. There are many reasons people idetifiy with certain people whether they are celebrities or not. I don't become a fan of anyone ...something has to draw me to want to hear what they have to say, sing, do. Their thoughts and ambitions. I am a fan of many men and women entrepreneurs as well. So this tells me that it's more than just "sexy" or "popular". It's the true meaning of the word "Idol". They possess something that you have or want and have simply repressed. The have that courage you hope for, that all too human courage and strength that we are fans of.

Why am I a fan of David? I don't watch these shows, any of them. Although I am in advertising and probably should. Quite possibly I am tired of the whole thing. David drew me in somehow and he was warm and down to earth...reminded me of (yes I'll say it again) a younger Raine Maida. He was not trying to be soneone else...just him. And he possessed a natural attitude toward being in front of an audience....that's something that takes practice. Talent is talent....but how you use it and help others to feel good about it, both on and off the stage....that is what can make or break him. And thus far....it's making him!
