The 2019 Race for Hope in Washington D.C. was another remarkable success this year, with more than 8,500 registered participants and nearly 450 different hard-working teams collectively raising a grand total of approximately $1.75 million by Race day to benefit ABC2 and the National Brain Tumor Society.
David Cook and his Team for a Cure raised nearly $54,000 in donations by Race day (excluding team event proceeds, which will be added at a later date) and were recognized as one of the top fundraising teams! Over the past eleven years, David and his fans have raised over $1.4 million for brain cancer and brain tumor research through the Race for Hope and other fundraising projects.
David spent time the Friday before the Race with Team for a Cure members able to attend a Team event that included a full-band concert at City Winery in Washington, DC. All proceeds from the event, and its live stream, will benefit the Team.
