The 2021 National Brain Tumor Walk and Race for Hope-DC took place virtually this past Sunday, May 2, with more than 2,431 registered participants and nearly 342 different hard-working teams collectively raising a grand total of approximately $1.3 million by event day benefiting the National Brain Tumor Society.
David Cook and his Team for a Cure were among the top fundraising teams again this year, with fundraising continuing through the end of May. Over the past thirteen years, David and his fans have raised over $1.6 million for brain cancer and brain tumor research through the Race for Hope-DC and other fundraising projects.
Sunday evening, David live-streamed a full-band show from Ocean Way Nashville Studios via the Mandolin platform, with all proceeds from the event benefiting the Team. Tickets are still available at the Mandolin Box Office to view the event during its 48-hour replay period.
