I was thrilled that they used TOML for football on the National Sports Channel of CCTV-5, the dominant and central TV station here. it has over 15 channels and A LOT of people watch that sports channel. I heard many people thought the song was pretty good, uplifting and many of them started to search who the singer was! I know it! i know he is going to be really HUGE here very sooon, if not already, lol.

that brought me out of my box, really! David does make us feel kind of special in being his fans, but you are so right! he shines on the entire earth, not just a few people! everybody just loves him in their own special ways and you, my sister, for example, always write great, insightful posts and blogs that make us rethink a lot of stuff..

well, about the boyfriend thing, there are some other important reasons why my class is like that, believe me, although it's normal but not so many colleges here are like ours. there are some other reasons, like there are very few boys in my college, lol, and so many other stuff to do that we have little time to get to know some boy thoroughly and then fall in love with them, like I'd rather come here everyday rather than hang out with some boys, *giggles*

you are so right that sometimes the best creation from artists are inspired by pain or loss. and it seems the sad, heart-wrenching lyrics are always hauntingly great! likewise, I've always felt more for the movies with sad endings than the "living happily ever after". I'm sort of a pessimist, I guess...
