I learned the Bass chords to "Light On" by ear! (Oh, and also converted my Bass teacher as well) ;] (video....well....)

So...
Last week, my Bass teacher, Dave (who's amazing ♥) is teaching me how to learn songs by ear, then write them down, and then play them through the notes I think they are. So, I tried my darndest to teach myself "Light On" as my first song. I sat down, and literally for an hour, I played it over, and over, and over, trying to pick up the Bass line. (which was no easy task.....)lol

Then, I went into my Bass lesson this week, sat down with DAve, and gave him the chart that I had written out as the notes to the song. He asked me:
"What song are you doing?"

... I, as well, absolutely hate the IOU's at christmas time....It's sad, especially when you really have NO money, and it seems like that is the 'exact' time when everyone gets you gifts, and you have nothing to give them back :[

Why I'm a Fan

The reason I am truly a fan is because of David's sincerity, humbleness, kindness, and pure devotion to his craft. He absolutely loves what he does for a living, and it radiates everytime he's performing. I guess you can say its admarable and inspiring....it's just not like "that" in our world today, I find. People today tend to take for granted what blessings they might (and do) posess, but Cook finds that way to not only bring happiness and soul into every performance, but also is gracious to all of his fans, and actually "cares" about their input!

(I mean, come on....look at the site we have here) =)

Honestly, I have yet to see a performer put as much love into his carerr than Cook has done. He is truly inspirational.

And, to top it all off, he is an AMAZING and phenomenal performer, artist, and musician! His lyrics are so beautifully written, where his words that he sings actually have both meanings and a story to underly the true meaning behind it. I have yet to listen to a performer who does that exactly as David has done..with Axium, to Analog Heart, and now with DCTR.

...and that is exactly why I am a fan of David Cook!! :]
